WE TELL STORIES.
Not the make-believe kind. Real stories about real people leading real lives.
In a world awash with 140-character tweets and 7-second videos, a well-told tale is increasingly rare. That’s where we come in. Quality research. Compelling writing. Professional production.
JACK HAMANN and LESLIE HAMANN
are award-winning journalists, writers, photographers and producers.
no little things Productions is renowned for COMPELLING STORYTELLING, offering professional video, podcasts, digital and print.
Our assignments take us around the globe. A mosquito-infested Arctic island. A haunting Polish beit almin. A bustling Chinese hutong. A sprawling Brazilian favela. A sobering Siberian prison. An ancient Ethiopian market. Between us, we’ve bungeed in New Zealand, mushed dogs in the Yukon, rafted in Switzerland, played catch in Cuba, biked across Europe, and slept in the crater of an active American volcano. We’ve profiled Andean potato farmers, Russian stockbrokers, Nepali environmentalists, American volleyball players, and a barefoot South African runner. We’re currently creating video portraits of distinguished federal judges.
Stories come in many forms. We’ve written On American Soil, a groundbreaking book that overturned World War II’s largest US Army court-martial. We’ve produced more than a dozen documentaries for CNN, PBS and others. We’ve written for national print magazines, network newsmagazines, regional newspapers and a host of websites. We blog. We’re preparing to launch a podcast.
WELL TOLD STORIES.

We’re both graduates of UCLA (Jack: BA, Economics, 1976 | Leslie: BA, Psychology, 1977). Leslie has a Forestry degree from the University of Washington, and spent a decade with the US Forest Service. Jack has a law degree from the University of Oregon, and spent much of his early career as a news reporter after one year as a lawyer. Married in 1976, we have two children and two grandchildren. Our bucket list remains long.
